3AW The Real Estate Report: 3rd February 2024

Author: Ben Reid - Manager VAA

The real estate market is ticking along but still not a lot of data out there. Melbourne unofficially kicks off their auction weekend with 344 auctions across Victoria according to Domain.

We have read about price rises and the anticipation they will keep going up, but we reckon there is a fragmented market with value to be found.

Theres plenty of buyers coming back in the market but we are likely to see fragmented markets across the industry this year, inconsistent price movements is what we think, so there’s value there for buyers if you know where to find out.

Three categories’ buyers should be aware of:

  • Ex rental properties
  • Renovators’ delights
  • Holiday and lifestyle locations

Listen to find out why these categories are important to investigate, plus why you need to plan for the future when thinking of your next purchase.

If you are thinking of purchasing, we recommend you read our FREE “Winning Buyer Strategies” booklet. You can download it from our website or contact our office on 03 9430 0000 for a copy.
